I was employed at krogers from sept 30,2015 until August 4,2016. My reason for quitting is medical. I hurt my arm working with the slicer in the deli. I usually worked in the bakery. I was put in the deli because help kept quiting. I took two weeks off with a doctors note. I was told I couldn't file workmans comp because I couldn't prove I was hurt at work. When I returned I was put back in the bakery. The work was lighter but still difficult. I put in my two week notice. I was scheduled for three more work days. My mother went into the hospital and needed me with her so instead of calling off three times I quit. My reason for writing you is this. After I quit a fellow employee informed me that she over heard one of the mangers bad mouthing me to one of the regular customers when he asked about me. I think this is very childish and very poor judgment on the managers part. While I was working I also witnessed an employee stealing several times. I reported it to management twice and so did fellow workers. Nothing at all was done. She is still employed and probably still stealing. People are quitting all the time. Favoritism played a big role in how you are treated not on how you work. I came to work whenever they needed me. I just wanted to give you a heads up on what actually goes on in the deli. i prefer to not leave my name.
